Seedance 2.5: generate, then edit it properly

Seedance 2.5 is ByteDance’s current text-to-video model and the longest-running one in the studio: it accepts clip lengths all the way up to 30 seconds, and it generates a soundtrack with the picture.

That length is the reason to reach for it. A single 20 or 30 second generation holds one continuous shot, so you avoid the stitched-together look you get from chaining four short clips with different lighting and motion.

The clip needs to carry a whole beat of a video on its own, like an intro or an establishing shot.

You are not sure which model to start with: it is the best general-purpose option here.

Where it runs out: Longer generations cost proportionally more credits and take longer to come back. The soundtrack comes with every clip; mute its track on the timeline if you want your own music or voiceover instead.

Most generators hand you a clip and stop, which leaves you downloading files and re-uploading them somewhere else to make anything of them.
