Tella is built around the videos it records, and it makes them look good fast. REQO records too, but the same tab also opens any video you import, on a real multi-track timeline, with an AI studio attached to the project. Free to start.
Tella finishes the clips it recorded. REQO opens the same editor for anything you drop in: an old export, a phone clip, stock footage, a file a client sent.
Video, audio, images, text and effects on their own tracks. Trim, reorder, layer and crossfade, instead of arranging clips into preset layouts.
Talking avatars, text-to-video, AI images and auto b-roll live in the project you are already editing, so you never export to a second tool to add them.
Record, edit, caption and share on the free plan with REQO branding on the output. Pro replaces that branding with yours and opens the AI studio.

Tella is very good at what it does. Its layouts and backgrounds make a plain recording look considered with almost no effort, and people who record themselves every day tend to love it. If your work is mostly you, your screen, and a fast turnaround, Tella will serve you well.

The verdict: choose Tella if recording yourself and shipping it quickly is the whole job, and choose REQO if the video you need to finish did not always come out of your own recorder. Both record your screen and both cut by transcript. The difference is what happens to footage you imported, and whether the AI work happens in the same project or in another tool.
