REQO - Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using REQO ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and all applicable laws. If you do not agree, do not access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

REQO provides a browser-based video editor with integrated screen recording, video storage, hosting, and sharing. The editor includes timeline-based trimming and cutting, transcript-based editing, music tracks, captions, and export. Recording modes include screen only, webcam only, and screen with webcam overlay. All recording features - including resolution up to 4K at 60fps, drawing and blur annotation tools, microphone audio, and real-time viewer notifications - are available to every user.

All users get unlimited videos, cloud storage, share links, full video editing (trim, cut, merge, music, captions), AI-powered video summaries from automatic transcripts, multi-clip video projects, auto-captions with a full subtitle editor (including style presets, positioning, and burn-in), custom thumbnail selection, and no watermarks.

REQO supports workspace and team collaboration. The interface is available in multiple languages. The Service is offered "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time without notice.

3. Eligibility and Accounts

To use REQO, you must:

  • Be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country).
  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • Accept responsibility for all activity under your account.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that appear fraudulent, inactive, or in violation of these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use and Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or malicious activity.
  • Upload, share, or distribute content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, obscene, hateful, or harassing.
  • Violate any intellectual-property, privacy, or publicity rights.
  • Upload malware, viruses, or harmful code.
  • Use the Service to spam, advertise, or solicit business.
  • Attempt to disrupt or compromise the Service or its infrastructure.

5. User Content and Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the videos, data, and materials ("Content") you create or upload.

  • You retain ownership of your Content.
  • By uploading Content, you grant REQO a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and transmit it only as needed to operate and improve the Service.
  • REQO does not pre-screen or actively monitor Content but may remove or disable access to any Content that violates these Terms or applicable law.
  • You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless REQO from any claim arising out of your Content or use of the Service.

6. Storage, Availability, and Data Loss

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • No guarantee of retention: We do not guarantee permanent storage of your recordings.
  • Possible data loss: Recordings may be deleted, corrupted, or become inaccessible due to maintenance, errors, or technical failures.
  • Your responsibility: You are solely responsible for maintaining backup copies.
  • No obligation to back up: REQO is not obligated to store or archive your Content beyond the limits of your plan.
  • No liability: REQO is not liable for any loss, corruption, or deletion of Content.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

REQO and its Service are provided "as is" and "as available."

We make no warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or reliability.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or meet your specific requirements.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, REQO and its affiliates, directors, employees, or agents shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages;
  • Loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses;
  • Unauthorized access, corruption, or loss of Content;
  • Service interruptions, downtime, or technical failures;
  • Any reliance on the completeness, accuracy, or availability of the Service.

Maximum Liability:In all cases, REQO's total liability shall not exceed the greater of (1) the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (2) USD $100.

9. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless REQO, its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or related to:

  • Your use or misuse of the Service;
  • Your breach of these Terms;
  • Your Content or interactions through the Service;
  • Your violation of any rights of another person or entity.

11. Termination and Suspension

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, with or without notice, if:

  • You breach these Terms;
  • Your account is inactive for an extended period;
  • Required by law or court order.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. All provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including indemnity, limitation of liability, and ownership rights) shall survive.

12. Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of REQO is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and safeguard personal data in compliance with GDPR and other applicable regulations.

13. Modifications to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales (or the jurisdiction in which REQO Ltd. is registered), without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
