Background music transforms a raw recording into a polished video. Whether you want subtle ambience under a tutorial or a full music track for a promo video, REQO lets you add audio directly in your browser — no software required.
How to Add Background Music in REQO
- Open your video in the REQO editor.
- Click the 'Audio' tab in the editor panel.
- Upload your own MP3/WAV file, or choose a track from REQO's built-in library.
- The audio track appears on the timeline below your video.
- Drag to set the start point.
- Adjust the volume slider — for background music, 15-20% is usually right so it sits under narration.
- Export when ready.
Tips for Adding Music
- Volume: Keep background music quiet enough that your narration is always the loudest thing viewers hear.
- Fade in/out: Abrupt music starts and stops sound amateurish. Use the fade handles to ease in at the beginning and fade out at the end.
- Copyright: Use royalty-free music for any video you plan to share publicly. REQO's built-in library is cleared for use.
- Mood: Upbeat music for product demos, calm/neutral for tutorials and walkthroughs.
