Background music transforms a raw recording into a polished video. Whether you want subtle ambience under a tutorial or a full music track for a promo video, REQO lets you add audio directly in your browser — no software required.

How to Add Background Music in REQO

  1. Open your video in the REQO editor.
  2. Click the 'Audio' tab in the editor panel.
  3. Upload your own MP3/WAV file, or choose a track from REQO's built-in library.
  4. The audio track appears on the timeline below your video.
  5. Drag to set the start point.
  6. Adjust the volume slider — for background music, 15-20% is usually right so it sits under narration.
  7. Export when ready.

Tips for Adding Music

  • Volume: Keep background music quiet enough that your narration is always the loudest thing viewers hear.
  • Fade in/out: Abrupt music starts and stops sound amateurish. Use the fade handles to ease in at the beginning and fade out at the end.
  • Copyright: Use royalty-free music for any video you plan to share publicly. REQO's built-in library is cleared for use.
  • Mood: Upbeat music for product demos, calm/neutral for tutorials and walkthroughs.
